It’s official: Amy Lane has broken me again. Book 2 in “The Long Con Adventure” has given me so many feels. I found myself laughing, crying, and on the edge of my seat reading the adventures the Think Tank team has gotten themselves into.Dylan “Grace” Li is one character that I was looking forward to reading his story. He is the “Grease Man”, is brilliant, beautiful, and a world class thief. He was lonely, forgotten by his family, and nearly died, lost to the world, when Josh, Danny, Felix, and Julia Salinger took him into their home. He’s best friends with Josh Salinger, and the two are nearly inseperable. All Grace wants is to be seen, validated, and dance ballet.I loved the snark between Grace and Josh. They are two people, not related by blood, but bonded by family and life experiences. Reading their past history, and watching Grace try to fit into a family he is already a part of was fascinating. Grace has hamsters that run around in his head, leading his brilliant mind into pathways that are several steps ahead of the family as they try to plan their latest con.Hunter is “The Muscle”. It’s well paced and the characters are well rounded, yet flawed people one can easily sympathize with. I can’t wait to read their further exploits.
