This is by far the best book in the series - this series and the fairy tale series before it. I’ve spent my whole weekend powering through it. Part of me wanted to skim through it until I got to the end of Snow White 🥰, but it was just so good and so much fun along the way that I had to slow down and savor it.What I loved (maybe some minor spoilers if you haven’t read Twelve Dancing Princesses and Snow White? If so, why haven’t you read them?? Seriously, read at least them - but I recommend reading all of the fairy tale series first):-Angelique v Emerys while battling goblins. Those two together gave me several literal laugh-out-loud moments.-Pegasus being sneaky in the Snow White parts.-Angelique finally coming into her own and being comfortable in her own skin. If you found her inner monologue a bit annoying in the last book, you certainly won’t in this one! Angelique v The Conclave was AWESOME.-All the ladies! I loved the Gal Pal reconnaissance trip! So.Much.Fun. And so beautiful to see the importance and strength of female friendships outside of the guys. And it was wonderful to see the ladies moving things in the plot forward - with the guys in the background. 😉-Evariste. I just love him more and more. He is such a cinnamon roll for all he’s suffered. He and Angel are so good together - love the development of their relationship in this book.-Clovicus 🙃 He’s the best.-The brilliant way the last two fairy tale books were woven in from Angelique’s POV without it feeling at all repetitive. There was interesting new material brought in and it never dragged. So many returning characters were brought in seamlessly. It must have been an enormous undertaking to do this and it was done brilliantly.There is nothing I didn’t love about this book. I’d give it 10 stars if I could and I CAN’T WAIT for book five! (This book is NOT a standalone and needs to be read as part of the fairy tale and fairy tale enchantress series.) I can not express in words how much this book has blown me away. It as absolutely PERFECT! The character development of Angelique, the fun adventures, the climax, and ending!! Seriously, the best part was Angelique FINALLY accepting her magic and learning to harness it instead of suppressing it. The way she blamed her magic over and over and over again in the previous books was getting VERY tedious and annoying. So to see her progress and grow, it was so much fun!My excitement for the next book is even greater than before. I am excited to read the beginning of the climax for this series I've been following from the very beginning! It's going to be great!
