I love dragons and stories about dragons. I have enjoyed this series so much and it just keeps getting better with each book! I fell in love with Ravi from the instant you meet him, bouncing up and down and acting like an excited child upon finding a mage in Origin. I absolutely ADORED reading his POV and Sora is so perfect for him! Sora is from the secretive Lost Clan and they all have no idea as to the state of the world for the remaining Fire and Ice dragons and mages. He is shocked to learn how few mages there are left outside of their clan and is determined to fix the situation. Sora is also the perfect match to Ravi's troublemaking self. They balance each other out so well. I freaking loved this book and can’t wait for the next one. Time to kick some Jaeggi butt! This book was so much fun. Ravi is my favorite character in this series so I was so glad to see him get an HEA. I thought Sora was a perfect match for Ravi and that they evened each other out. There was lots of emotion in this book and I found myself in tears more than once. Ravi's injury from the bomb especially got to me. The bond between Sora and Ravi was almost tangible and, in my opinion, well written. I love these two authors together as well as separate. The other characters, dragons and mages alike, were all engaging and likable and the conflict was exciting. The only problems I had were (1) that the book was a little too long; (2) King Alric's horrific injury from the original war was such an important part of Alric and the series yet the efforts to help him heal were seemly glossed over and mention of his recovery from those efforts was almost nonexistent, especially the surgery before the bonding ceremony which was given maybe one sentence; (3) this was touted at the beginning as a trilogy yet there has already been an additional novella and the Jaeggi still have not been defeated. I'm not at all adverse to Gunter getting his own story, which is apparently the next book, but I'm mighty tired of the nasty Jaeggi and was hoping they would be defeated in this book. So, now I have to wait even more time for a resolution of this saga. Luckily these books are good.
